Tear gas on Block Party 2013

Block Party is a great time for students in Bloonsburg to go out and enjoy the fresh spring air. Unfortunately for some it was not so on Saturday April 20,2013.

Tear gas and smoke was dispersed by police up and down Fetterman Ave. in Bloomsburg. This was done in attempts to clear the street of the large crowds of intoxicated people on Fetterman Ave.

According to WNEP 16 news, it was the first time the police used an armored vehicle called the BearCat.

Once the police started to clear the streets people started throwing glass bottles. Several bricks were thrown and directly hit the BearCat itself.

But the street were cleared and several arrest were also made.
